CAIN

In biblical lore Cain is the first-born son of Adam and Eve. Cain along with his brother Abel
were given jobs by God: Cain was to be the reaper of the earth and Abel was to be the keeper
of the beasts. to domesticate and to use as man needed. The brothers were instructed that
from time to time they would be required to bring offerings to a mountaintop to please God.
In Spring before the final harvest Cain, being the very innovative man, created a blade. So
pleased was he with his new invention, he knew God would favor him beyond Abel. On the day
of the final offering Cain was full of pride; he had harvested three times as ever before, while
all Abel had was the first born lamb of the year. They climbed the mountain as they had many
times before, Cain beaming with pride. The skies parted, the light of God shone upon them
with Cain holding his blade high, for God to get an extra good look at his genius. Slowly the
light faded from Cain and became brighter on Abel and the lamb as God favored Abel! Cain's
heart fell. His anger grew, as the feeling of rejection grew; as both of these feelings apexed he
knew what he must do. Cain watches Abel as he tends to his horses, the blade held tight in
his hand. To where his brother stands, Abel turns and smiles. Seeing the rage in his brothers
eyes, his smile wavers; before he can say a word, the blade finds its mark. Cain stands over
the body of his slain brother; suddenly fear overtakes him, rain falls, lightning flashes, and the
sky opens. The light of God shines down, as Cain drops to his knees. "What have you done
to one of my children Cain!" the voice of God booms inside his head. "I don't know, I struck
him?" Cain sobs.
“You have killed your brother, his blood soaks my earth, the earth I let you use. Cursed now
is the ground and you with it."
"Lord please, I did not mean to." Cain pleads. Slowly he walks…
The light of God grows brighter as he speaks the final words that Cain would ever hear him
speak, "For what you have done, and for your pride, you will walk the earth that you have
cursed until I bring the end times, may no man who knows you himself attack you or the
wrath of sevenfold shall befall them. To show who you are, you shall bear the mark of that
you held before the life of your brother!"
Light flashes as Cain screams out in pain; the shape of the blade that he had created and
used to kill his brother is burned into his flesh.
Time is the unstoppable force that no man can hinder. In the time that people have some bear
families, some build fortunes, others watch. As the time passes for Cain all of these are true.
He built the first city Enoch named after his first-born son.  He watched as cities rose and fell;
new rulers build empires only for them to fall as time marched on. Uncountable wars rage and
all the people that he ever loved die.
Over time he learned the power to cloud peoples minds, so they would see him as who he
wished, or not see him at all. He also began to hate what he had become - the one who will
never die. He made the choice if God would not speak with him, he would anger God and force
him to speak. So for years Cain became the slayer of those he believed were sinners. That
was until his true destiny becomes unlocked throughout the book that tells his story, the
Bible. Only in this code will the future of all of mankind be told, with Cain locked into a game
between heaven and hell.

COOK CHIEF OF POLICE ( Lou Gossett Jr. )

Cook, as he is now known, is the chief of police of the Tacoma Police Department. Some call
him the most educated man they have ever met, well versed in ancient history with an almost
eerie knowledge of the civil war and all other American conflicts. He can speak French, Spanish,
Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and read any number of ancient writings; he always keeps a
copy of the Dead Sea Scrolls with him. The biggest joke around the department and the only
thing he will not tell is his age. Most would guess somewhere in his sixties.
The real story of Cook is far more in-depth. Cook’s real name is Kimbato Mattalla, born in the
African country Zimbabwe. He migrated to Egypt with his family when he was five where his
father was a metalsmith. Cook worked beside his father until the age of fifteen when soldiers
came to his father asking for work to be done. Seeing these men changed his life. He had
never seen men like this – powerful, commanding respect; he knew he must join them. His
father refused with the knowledge of the dangers that these men endured every day. Cook
pleaded, he knew that this was his destiny - it was God that sent these men here. His father
was a very spiritual man who wouldn’t stop what was God’s work, so he sent his son with
these men. That was over a thousand years ago, and these soldiers were the ones known as
the Templar Knights in their first crusade to find the Grail of Christ.
It took many years for him to become a knight, and he became known as one of the fiercest
warriors. On the last crusade the Grail was found, not in the form of a cup, but in the form of
a woman "The Magdalene". Each of the Knights touched by her hand were given the gift of
super health and would age at a far slower rate than that of an average man. Twenty-five
times slower. Each of the Knights took a vow to protect her, as well as all other artifacts that
held the power of God, for each one of these hold their own power that could corrupt and
give unimaginable strengths to those who might posses them. Scattering to the four corners
of the Earth the Knights live as normal humans, each with a mission all their own. Some wait
centuries for their destiny to come. Cook found himself in the 1700s in America - a country
and horror of slavery. There he fought as a soldier once again in the Civil War. Now he waits
for his destiny, Cain.

MELANIE CHO

Found abandoned in a downtown New York flophouse hotel when she was two, police estimate
that she had been there for two weeks. She was dehydrated and malnutritioned - able to
survive by wandering into the streets at night and finding food in the dumpsters. After seeing
her story on television an Ambassador to China and his wife adopted her. Her adopted mother
was a Professor of Mathematics at MIT, her adopted father a linguist for the U.N.  For many
years before he became an Ambassador he had a natural knack for language; he learned
seven before he left college. He found that Melanie oddly enough had the same talent. Soon it
was obvious that she also had a gift with numbers. Within one year of her adoption they
found she had an I.Q. of 200.  School was always easy for Mel. She was in high school by the
time she was ten. Even though she could speak a number of languages, her true love was
numbers; she could see the rhythm and the consistency of them. For her it was the language
that the whole universe could speak. Her parents were not very religious people so she never
read a Bible until she was in her teens. Then, what she saw changed her life.  It was not the
stories but a pattern that she saw: numbers, times, and places. The discovered name of her
mother, she kept to herself. At twenty-one she was a field agent for the A.T.F. and moved up
the ranks quickly. Mel always studied, read, and watched the code, as she waited for the right
puzzle piece to show what happened to her mother who disappeared without a trace years
before.

DECEIVER

He is also known as the Devil, Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Satan. Thrown out of heaven for trying
to overthrow God, he is the keeper of hell. What else can be said about the personification of
evil. He thinks the immortals are a funny lot, but he always tries to influence them more for his
own amusement than to have them join him. He appears to various people just to annoy
them. He finds great joy in haunting Cain who he thinks is too serious. Some of his favorite
people to impersonate are movie stars, just to cause a scandal. Also he likes to appear as The
Magdalene; this really bothers Cain for she is the only person that he really admires.
He waits and watches as the final stages of what he considers a game play out. The Deceiver
knows that Cain is a major piece of the puzzle that will determine the winner.

ENOCH

The first son of Cain was so loved by his father that the city Cain built was named after him.
Enoch the eldest son had many responsibilities. First was the safety of his younger siblings,
next was the safety of the city. Enoch had always excelled in all endeavors; physically he was
fast and strong, mentally he was at a genius level - drawing aqueduct systems for the city by
age four. By the age of fourteen he was the commander of the city's troops, devising
strategies and weapons that fended off many warlords who wanted the wealth that the city
held. It was when Enoch turned seventeen that his father Cain came to him and said that he
was leaving. He explained that he had the sickness and must cross the river to the land of the
dead. This was the way of saying that he had contracted leprosy and would go downriver to a
small building where people who had leprosy would go to die. The name of the river is Styx.
Enoch, sad by this revelation, knew that it was the law of the city and not even a king was
above that law.
Years passed and Enoch spent many long days talking with his father across the river, always
amazed every day that his father appeared with his face covered in a sack; most people would
have succumbed to the illness in half the time, but his father must be the strongest on Earth.
At the age of twenty-two, Enoch married and wanted a son. After many pregnancies and
many miscarriages he finally got one. He was thirty-seven. Within two years he too would get
the sickness.
When he moved to that side of the river it was not long before he learned the truth about his
father, and that he was never sick, just embarrassed about his curse.
For the death of his son Enoch blamed his father. That is when Enoch made a deal that would
make him a legend for all time - he became the first of the undead. Torn apart by the love for
his father, and the knowledge that Cain was the real cause of the death of his son, Enoch
becomes a brilliant, dangerous immortal with followers that heed his every command with only
a thought.

LILLITH

Some refer to her as the cursed or the wretched. In some lore she is on par with the devil.
Then again some call her the patron saint of lesbians. As the story goes, Lillith was the first
wife of Adam - made from the same earth, later to be called in her case the foulest of Earth.
She and Adam lived in the Garden of Eden for many years before the creation of Eve, taking
all of its gifts and working together as equals, until the day that Adam noticed the difference
between them. Adam wanted to be with her and told Lillith to lie beneath him. She refused.
Angered, Adam demanded her to bow to his will. She still refused and struck him. God asks
why they quarreled. Lillith told God that she would not do as Adam or God commands. This
angers God, who asks why she would say such things. She exclaims that Adam is not to
command her, and she will not stay in this place. She tells God to set her free to find her own
garden. God does as she asks and sets her free into the wastelands that are the Earth at that
time. For eons she wanders an empty and lonely planet. One day she comes to a riverbank
and decides that this is where she will sit for all time, because for her death does not exist. A
voice comes from the river; it is Satan, disguised as a young woman. He explains that he was
also a wife of Adam who was cast out of the garden because of his disgust of Adam's male
form. He offers her his help to learn how to adapt on this planet. For years the two live
together as the disguised devil teaches Lillith how to change her form at will, how to use the
powers that she now possesses to command the creatures that began to crawl out of the
sea, and how to take to the air if she wished, and how to destroy. As the years passed the
two became more than friends. They became lovers. This is when the devil decided to show
his true form, for he had grown to love her, as much as the devil can love. He asked her to
join him in hell and be his queen. She orders the devil to go and never appear before her
again. Lillith leaves the river to find the world is now alive with humans of all colors with many
who are as she, female. From these females she creates her own followers. As she chooses
women to be her wives, she teaches them all that she knows so that they too may live
forever. She takes many forms: some beautiful, some to strike horror, but in any form God
help whoever crosses her.

FOLLOWERS OF ENOCH

When Enoch made the deal for immortality, his curse was more than just his. Unlike the curse
of his father Cain, Enoch could give this "Gift" to others, to make them like him.
Not only was he cursed to the night, his blood was cursed. When he passes this to a human,
they become bonded to him for the rest of their existence. There are three types of followers.
The first is with the mind intact. Enoch sometimes lets them keep something of who they are,
even though they are still under his will. They are used for gathering information and giving
information to others. He often keeps these as his brides. The second type are the soldiers;
they have no personality to speak of - they only do as Enoch wills. Unable to change
appearance to look more human, they stay in their true bloodsucker form. He feels all these
are expendable for they are easy to make.
The third are not so much followers but more the cattle of the followers. These people are
taken in and kept barely alive for the followers to feed on when in transit or in times when
supplies are low. These people are kept sometimes just for fun or revenge. Even though they
do not carry the full curse, the ones that have escaped say they can still hear the commands
of Enoch and still feel the impulse to follow his commands.

FALLEN ANGELS

Formless and with an alliance to no one, they will possess the bodies of humans to do their
will. Most of the time they are at war with one another. Even though none of them really get
along they are split into two factions. The Black: the only thing they exist for is to cause fear,
confusion, and to force their host to commit acts of violence.
The White: still believe that they can get back into heaven; they have their host do acts of
good, as they possess the host they believe that this is for the good of mankind. In truth all
of them are evil and would like to do away with all the immortals because albeit touched by the
hand of God they are still monkeys.

THE MAGDALENE

Many stories of Mary Magdalene can be found. Prostitute, saint, wife, mother, Mary was the
companion of Jesus; in some cases she is referred to as his wife. The Catholic Church states
that if Jesus were married she would have been his wife.
Mary was no more than 20 when she met Jesus; she and he went on his journey together.
She learned the way of enlightenment through him. Over the years their closeness became so
apparent that some of the apostles became jealous of their companionship. In those times
women were not held in the same regard as men, so Jesus having a woman as his equal was
most uncommon. She was there for his torture and crucifixion; in fact she was the only
apostle to be at the bottom of the cross as he passed, catching his blood in the Grail. She
was the first that Jesus came to when he rose; she is also known as the Grail, the keeper of
the Blood of Jesus, literally or euphemistically.
When she escaped to France she found that she had changed, she no longer aged, she was
able to heal, and hear the voices of people from anywhere in the world. She became at peace;
the physical world did not really matter for she could now feel the spiritual plane. She had
become enlightened; she might be the last on Earth to truly speak with Jesus on a daily basis.
She lives in the Templar castle and moves from place to place as an astral projection. In this
form she watches as the final prophecies come to pass. One of here favorite people is Cain,
not for what he has become but for his sadness and what he is to become.

LAZARUS

The brother of Mary Magdalene rose from the dead after three days by Jesus’ hand. It was
said that before death Lazarus was a drunkard; after resurrection he was a redeemed man.
After the crucifixion of Jesus, Lazarus and his sister Mary escaped to the south of France to
avoid persecution. There he slipped into a depression and began to take of the wine again.
Some say it was because of the separation from his homeland. Some say it was because he
had seen the glory of heaven and had been pulled away. Maybe he knew that he would never
see heaven again.  In his resurrection not only was he raised but also death was taken from
him forever.
He was held in France for his protection from those who would use his Gift. The weeks turned
to months, months to years, the years soon stretched into a century. He began to feel as
though the ones who said they wanted to protect him were holding him prisoner. Only allowed
to go out in the night, he believes he would soon lose his mind if he did not see the day.
Slowly he begins to hate those who held him, the Templars. It was in the anniversary of his
one hundred and fifth year that he decided that it was time to go. He slipped out in the night,
accidentally killing a hapless priest on his way. From that point on he assumes the Templars
would put him in holding forever if they found him, and he will stop at nothing to keep that
from happening. To this day he is their most sought and feared enemy.

TEMPLAR KNIGHTS

They were created by King Arthur for the purpose of sending them on crusades to find the
Holy Grail. Through all adversity they would continue their journey no matter the cost. Often
times they would enlist men to accompany them on the holy journey, but only those who had
the calling. By the end of their journey they had found the true Grail, The Magdalene. Each
man left took a drink from the cup that held the Blood of Christ, giving themselves extended
life and health for their trip home. In the time that had passed since they had left, many years
had gone by and none of the original Templars were alive any longer. Upon their arrival in
England Arthur was long dead and their story had faded into legend. The last fifteen of the
Templars made a vow to protect the holy artifacts of God. This would be anything or anyone
touched by his hand. They made deals with the church to help in their cause even when they
sometimes didn’t see eye to eye. Some of the Templars had gone rouge in the past over
these differences when they felt that the church had its own agenda rather than that of the
greater good. The Templars hold true to their vow no matter the cost. They can read
thoughts and make themselves look younger or older at will. Most have a post that they man
as they wait for a new crusade.

SAMSON

The warrior of God. At birth he was touched by the hand of God, who gave him immeasurable
strength. He killed a thousand men with the jawbone of an ass. When God needed a human
warrior, Samson was he. The only rule was that Samson could not have his hair cut. He had
many lovers and loved his drink. That was until he met Delilah. He fell in love with the Egyptian
princess, who was his eventual downfall. In the night Delilah cut his hair - thus his strength.
Her father had his eyes burned out with red hot daggers and locked him in a prison cell for
years with his head shaved, and his strength gone. The king had a festival in his new coliseum
and brought the blinded, beaten Samson in front of the cheering crowd and chained him to
two large pillars, to show that he was more powerful than the great Samson, to once and for
all prove that his gods were greater than Samson's one God.
Samson prayed for God to forgive him for his wicked ways and to make him his hand once
again. His hair grew in front of the crowd, and with all of his strength he pulled the pillars
down. The coliseum fell. All were killed but Samson.
He stood in the rubble uninjured, with all of his strength back, just as indestructible as ever,
but still blind.
For years he prayed for God to give his sight back, but to no avail. He was to be blind for all
time, yet also the hand of God when needed. As time went on he moved around the Earth as
a vagabond, lived in poverty, and waited for the day when he was needed. He is the only one
that Cain fears for he has God’s power within him and not even the curse of sevenfold can
stop him.

WRITERS OF THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS

It is unknown how old they are or where they really come from. It is said that the writings
started with a group of young Jewish men in a village outside Israel. As they compiled the first
Bible from writings that had been handed down from their forefathers, they saw a pattern. By
counting letters and words they would come up with a new word, a phrase, even a scripture.
As they looked deeper they found dates, names, and times. Excited about this they began to
spread the word. The reception was less than warm; most people viewed this as heresy, but
some believed. As the story of what they had found spread, the opposition grew and some of
the writers were stoned to death. Groups of the writers began to meet in secret to look for
the code, but many times they were found and killed. In a final move to protect themselves
they moved into the caves that lie above the Dead Sea. For years over a thousand of them
worked as they dug deeper into the mountain to create their own city. A select few who were
the best with the code were elected seers; their only purpose was to find God’s real plan.
Committed to a life of celibacy so as not to distract from the study, the population of the
writers dwindled. For over a hundred years they studied, and they found the keys to a long
life and even the secret of how to live forever. Sadly by this time there were only three left.
The three decided that the secrets were too dangerous for mankind to handle so they put
themselves in complete isolation. Over the millennia they have found what the future holds for
the Earth, but will not tell. They will only meet with immortals, but still never give away
secrets. They are an overly jolly three, who find how their story has been twisted. Their
favorite is the Three Witches with the Seeing Eye in Greek mythology. In time their
commitment to the writings has waned, two of the three have a horrible television habit. They
currently live in a huge old house with all of their bills paid for by an unknown party.
